The Seed Blog: Life in the Millennial Reign

Last week we ended our Walk Thru Revelation here...Jesus has Returned with His Army of Saints...And destroyed the gathered armies of the world at Armageddon...He has resurrected all those martyred for His Sake during the Tribulation...So that now... Any and all who have died in faith...Throughout all of earth's history to this point...Are resurrected in glorified bodies...And present with Christ on the earth together!

Jesus has established His Throne on earth...And is beginning to Build His Kingdom here...One that will last for 1000 years...Before this earth and Heaven are all made new...And we are ushered into Eternity...He has gathered all of the remaining inhabitants left on earth... Who survived the Tribulation... Before His Throne! Some remaining who had accepted and loved Him...Some remaining who had received the mark of the Beast & rejected Him...Those who rejected Him were cast into the Lake of Fire prepared for the devil and his angels (Matt. 25:41)...
Those who had accepted Him remained on earth...In their current unglorified/earthly bodies...To inherit the new Kingdom! And repopulate the world again! (Matt. 25:34)
 
With nothing but His Redeemed upon the whole planet...We have finally celebrated the Marriage Supper of the Lamb together! But even though their is more said about this Millennial Period on earth...Than any other period of time written about in Scriptures...Very few have a clear understanding of…What it will TRULY be like during this time! Today... We will take a very close look at life in the Millennium!
 
 Government 
Let's first look at how this new world will be governed! John Lennon released a song in 1971 entitled "Imagine"...Which was about the world finally living as one in peace. The only ironic problem with the entire song...Is HOW he sings that this world peace can be attained! No heaven, no hell... No God...Everyone just living for today...No killing or greed... Only people loving and sharing the world!
 
Mr. Lennon I am sorry to break cold, hard TRUTH to you...BUT... The very reason we ARE killing, stealing, and starving in greed and hatred in this world...Is BECAUSE we ARE living like there is no Heaven, Hell, or God... And we ARE living just for today! And that GOD YOU DISMISS... And His Words of Love...
Living in our hearts and lives through His Spirit...ARE THE ONLY WAY TO ACHIEVE THE PEACE & UNITY...YOU SO NAIVELY AND REBELLIOUSLY SING ABOUT!
 
As long as ANY government... Especially a WORLD government...Is run by fallen, sinful, selfish men...This earth… Will to a degree… Be a reflection of Hell! What’s the Answer then? Run the world government with "A Bunch of Saints!"
AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT GOD IS GOING TO DO IN THE MILLENNIUM!
Let's take a look at His New Governing Structure!
 
The New World Ruler and King... Replacing the "not so popular" Antichrist...
Is Our Lord Jesus Christ!!! The One Who Created it all in the first place...
The One Who gave His Last ounce of Strength...His last Drop of Blood... His Dignity... His very Life... Taking all of the sins which destroyed this world in the first place... Upon Himself... Literally... To Redeem it! The One Who loved the inhabitants of this planet more than His own Throne, Wealth and Life...I would say that qualifies HIM to be the Best King EVER!
 
Listen to how Scripture prophesied of this Moment hundreds of, even a thousand, years before Jesus was born!
 
Revelation 11:15 (NKJV)
15  Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!"
 
Daniel 7:13-14 (NKJV) (530 BC)
13  ...And behold, One like the Son of Man, Coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, And they brought Him near before Him. 14  Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, Which shall not pass away, And His kingdom the one Which shall not be destroyed.
 
Isaiah 9:6-7 (NKJV) (700 BC)
6  For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7  Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
 
Jesus will establish His Rule from Jerusalem... As King of Kings! Because there WILL BE other kings upon the earth...Ruling other countries upon the earth...All of which will be under His Authority and Rule! Scriptures seem to strongly indicate...That as Jesus Reigns as King over all kings on earth... With Jerusalem as His World Capital...The redeemed and sanctified earthly king...Chosen to stand in authority over the Nation of Israel…Under Him...Will be David!
 
Ezekiel 34:23-24 (NKJV)
23  I will establish one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them--My servant David. He shall feed them and be their shepherd. 24  And I, the LORD, will be their God, and My servant David a prince among them; I, the LORD, have spoken.
 
Ok... Jesus is Lord over the whole earth...David is Prince of Israel...  So... Who rules over all of these other countries of the Millennium? WE... His Redeemed, sanctified Saints DO!! The citizens of this earth will be those who come into the Millennium... In unglorified, mortal bodies…Who have survived through the Tribulation...And are now allowed to live normal lives...And repopulate the earth! And they will live under the Perfect Authority and Rule…Of many of the Redeemed Saints... Just as prophesied many times in Scriptures!
 
Revelation 3:21 (NKJV)
21  To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
 
Revelation 5:10 (NKJV)
10  And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth."
 
It seems that many of the Saints of the Millennium...Will be given positions in ruling nations, states, cities, etc...Acting as leaders, judges, priests of Jesus' Kingdom...How will it be determined WHO will rule?  And where?
 
Luke 19:15-19 (NKJV) (Jesus’ parable about returning king)
15  And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 16  Then came the first, saying, 'Master, your mina has earned ten minas.' 17  And he said to him, 'Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.' 18  And the second came, saying, 'Master, your mina has earned five minas.' 19  Likewise he said to him, 'You also be over five cities.'
 
Matthew 25:21 (NKJV)
21  His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'
 
Jesus Himself... CLEARLY explains...Our rewards given by HIM... In FUTURE positions as…Leaders, rulers, judges and priests…Of the Millennial Kingdom...
Will depend DIRECTLY UPON our passion and desire…To serve Him TODAY...  In THIS LIFE!
 
Listen… NOT how big were our accomplishments... NOT how much more we did than someone else...But what we did... With what WE had!! The condition of our hearts...Are we sold out for Him NOW? Do we use what we already have been given…To serve Him back? Or do we horde it? Waste it? Claim it as our own?
 
If you were given a place in His Kingdom right this moment...Based upon HOW you serve Him with your HEART now...With the talents, gifts, money & things HE has given to you...What position would you receive in His Kingdom? A thousand years... And an eternity following that...Verses 70 years now...
 
 Health And Wealth 
 What will life for those in unglorified bodies…Be like on earth? FINALLY... I can Scripturally preach a sermon…About "Health and Wealth"...And it will be totally true! FIRST... Any disease, injury, illness or sickness...Which those who come into the Millennium may possess...Will be restored as new!  Even in their unglorified condition!
 
Isaiah 35:5-6 (NKJV)
5  Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. 6  Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing...
 
The curse upon this earth... And the catastrophic changes which occurred…During the Flood...  Will be undone! Creating the environment for our existence which God preordained from the beginning!
 
Isaiah 65:20 (NKJV)
20  "No more shall an infant from there live but a few days, Nor an old man who has not fulfilled his days; For the child shall die one hundred years old, But the sinner being one hundred years old shall be accursed.
 
Does it not reinforce the truth and genuineness of Scriptures... When they simply tell of how life spans...Were extremely long before the flood...And then speak of their quick descent shortly after...Without even trying to explain or magnify the change...As though it were simply known and understood in history...And then... Once again show these life spans return to pre-flood conditions... When the world is restored?!
 
Scriptures tell us the unglorified bodies of the Millennium…Will live as those in the pre-flood world...Maybe longer! Isaiah seems to say the only ones who WILL suffer death through the Millennium at all...Will do so because of SIN in their lives!
 
This may explain why we do not hear of another… "First Resurrection" of the Redeemed... At the end of the Millennium... Only the resurrection of the
Damned...Who have died in this period!
 
So... Unglorified but redeemed people will have...The curse lifted from the earth...
Healed bodies going into the Millennium... Long life, as before the flood... Or better...And probably... No death at all... Except for those who sin!
 
 
 Which brings us to the third point...Why… Will there be sin and death in the Reign of Christ on earth? First... Remember this IS NOT yet Heaven on earth! The New heaven and the New Earth come at the end of this Period! When all things are made new and perfect! All of the people who go into the Millennium at the end of the Tribulation are redeemed... But NOT regenerated and made perfect in Christ yet!
 
THEY will have children themselves...Who only HEAR of previous times...And are still born under the seed of the sin of Adam...THIS is why we see so many Passages about the Millennial Reign of Christ...Showing that He will Rule and JUDGE between the people...Even showing He will sometimes have to Judge with a rod of iron! Because even though there WILL…Still be sin and selfishness...There WILL be Peace and Safety in Christ's Reign!
 
Isaiah 11:1-5, 10 (NKJV)
1  There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. 2  The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. 3  His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; 4  But with righteousness He shall judge the poor (weak, least), And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. 5  Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist...10  "And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, Who shall stand as a banner to the people; For the Gentiles shall seek Him, And His resting place shall be glorious."
 
And although the United Nations HQ has this Quote on their "Isaiah Wall"...
And a beautiful statue to illustrate it...This Passage will ONLY come to reality…Under the Kingdom in which it was prophesied about!
 
Isaiah 2:4 (NKJV)
4  He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore.
 
With the curse lifted from our earth...The plant and animal world…Will be restored to an Eden-like state!
 
Isaiah 35:6-7 (NKJV)
6  ...For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert. 7  The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water; In the habitation of jackals, where each lay, There shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
 
The deserted and barren areas of the earth will flow with new water and become fertile!
 
Amos 9:13 (NKJV)
13  "Behold, the days are coming," says the LORD, "When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it.
 
The crops will be so abundant in growth...They will be hard to keep up with in harvesting!

Isaiah 11:6-9 (NKJV)
6  "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. 7  The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8  The nursing child shall play by the cobra's hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper's den. 9  They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the sea.
 
Animals will dwell in peace and harmony with men again! And be vegetarians as originally planned! If a little child can lead a lion... And they eat straw like an ox...There is not reason why I can't be hugging on some big cats!
 
Why Have A Millennium?
 
In a nutshell... The Millennium will be a time when:Earthly men will populate a perfect earth...With long life, abundant crops and kind animals...The earth will burst with fertility…As it did in the beginning...With no more dry and barren areas...Governed perfectly…By a Holy King Jesus…And His now Holy Saints...With NO war, hunger or disease...It will not yet be the New Heaven and the New Earth…Of Eternity...But it will NOT be the cursed, fallen world of TODAY!
 
So as completely AWESOME as this time sounds...The big question is, "WHY?"
Why even have this intermediate period of so many years...Before God Establishes His New Heaven and Earth...And we step out into Eternity...In that Magnificent City of New Jerusalem?!
 
ONE: It will be a the time when Jesus will…Restore All things in His Original Creation...To their intended condition...Before the curse of sin tainted everything...A time when... In Victory... Jesus Heals all that He Died to take back…From Satan's hold! And all of creation will be able…To see, celebrate and enjoy...Life on earth... Just as God had intended it to be!
 
It is very interesting to me that when Peter is discussing the time when Jesus will burn away this world... And make all things new...He makes this statement!
 
2 Peter 3:7-8 (NKJV)
7  But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8  But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
 
Paul goes on to describe how God is not slack in His Returning...And that for an Eternal Being... Our time of waiting seems short! BUT... Think about this for a moment... In God's Big Scheme of things!
 
Biblical scholars have added the timelines of patriarchs and events in Scriptures...
And come to a current length of about 6000yrs…To date… Since Creation!
 
If we compare our time on earth…To the Model God used in Creating the earth... Work for 6 days... Then 1 day of REST...We would just now be ending our SIXTH DAY of work... 6000yrs...With ONE expected DAY of rest AT THE END... 1000yrs of peace! Just an interesting thought!  “Just saying…”
 
It will be a time for the nation of Israel to…Finally recognize her Messiah! To have Him (Messiah), as their God and King as prophesied...And be restored as a people to their Land…In Peace, prosperity and rule...After all of the years of rejection and dispersion for rejecting Christ! Suffering at the hand of the Gentile Nations of the world! Many, many of the OT prophecies concerning the Millennial Period...Focus on THIS…As being one of the big purposes of this time!
 
Lastly... Most powerfully...To show His Fallen Creation…How desperately they are in need of Redemption…In the sinful state in which they exist now!
This period of time on earth will shut the mouths… Of those sociologists, psychologists and theologians…Who say…“We are born innocent... It is the environment that taints us...How could we be judged for our wrongs?Men are inherently good by nature...”
 
For a thousand years... God will give us...A perfect world... With abundance in everything…(Nothing to covet or fight over) With a Perfect and Loving King... And a perfect government to maintain perfect Laws... And yet... Those earthly inhabitants who have not yet taken on new bodies and the new nature in Christ... WILL continue to sin and rebel... Turning on Jesus again by the end of the Era! Showing our need for the Transforming Power & Love…Of Jesus Christ in our sinful hearts!
 
When everything we have thrown away in selfishness... Given to Satan... Is Reclaimed by Christ…Made beautiful and perfect as was intended…And He enjoys it with His Creation in Victory...Will YOU be there with Him in celebration?
