It's easy to lose track of what is important. Especially when the media we are surrounded with bombards us with a distorted view of what things have value. Today Pastor Doss encourages us to keep our eyes on the three things that are really important, the things that are eternal. Listen to discover what they are and then decide if you need to refocus.

I read a news article: How long will I be allowed to remain a Christian? We are living in times when our faith is being ridiculed and attacked more and more frequently, and more and more aggressively, causing many Christians to even begin to doubt their own faith. Have you not had times of trials or difficulty and thought quietly: "I wish I didn't live in these crazy and dangerous times?" "Where is the God that I read about in Scriptures?" "Why do I never see miracles told about in the Bible?" "Why doesn't God still work like that now?" "If He were real, we would see more proof in His works!" God is real, and God does still care, and yet we don't see Him move as we read about. It's not because He has changed, and not because He is not able. That leaves one factor to consider: us.
Recently, I had a good friend confide in me with some questions and comments about faith in Jesus Christ. Questions and comments of skepticism and self-justification—not in the belief there is no God—but in the belief that they are justified in living their life the way they choose and still be accepted and approved by a loving God. They asked some of the same questions and made some of the same statements about their belief in God, and about why they feel their life is okay—about why God is just fine with how they live, and believe, and love—that I have heard from a number of people, as have you. People living their lives on the edge with God, and the with the world, not committing to Him, but believing in Him. Staying close to Him, but not too close. Justifying that one thing (or two) that keeps away commitment.
Ever been asked if God hears the prayers of the unsaved? Or had a friend tell you that only God can judge them and you should but out? Or maybe you have asked these questions yourself? Today, Pastor Doss addresses three of the top questions that have come up in conversations with non-believers. Not sure how to respond? Listen to find out!
We are going to look at one of the strangest and most misunderstood parables that Jesus ever spoke and find within its illustrative story is revealed one of the most powerful lessons on prayer that we could hear in this day and age. If you were present for the Sunrise Service on Easter Morning, you heard the discussion about all that Jesus' Blood bought for us when He was Sacrificed: how He purchased the right for us to speak directly to the Father with all of the authority, and expectation that Jesus Christ, Himself, would have when He stood before the Father. It is hard for us to fathom the incredible privilege and importance of that gift, which was purchased with the very Blood from Jesus' Veins. Do you use prayer with the purpose and power in which it was intended? (After our many lessons?) Or do you still lack confidence in prayer? Still, never really see your prayers answered? Still rarely pray with passion, or real hope for an answer? Is prayer just a way to ask forgiveness, stay in good graces with God, and follow the expectations of a, "Good Christian"?
You are probably familiar with The Lord's Prayer that appears immediately preceding these verses in Luke, but what does visiting a neighbor at midnight to borrow bread have to do with prayer? Much less being BOLD in your prayer life?
Listen to the sermon at the link below to find out! On this Easter morning, I have one goal with this message: to show you why my Jesus is the only Person on this planet, or in this known Universe—Who is worthy of your worship and allegiance in life, not just because of His power and magnificent creativity, but because of the unbelievable, sacrificial way in which He loves you and I—more than anyone has ever loved us, or will ever love us. One note to any new Christians, or those unsure of what to think about Jesus—everything we discuss today about His life and death is a proven piece of ancient history, which is more solidly established than any other event, to a true and unbiased historian.
You know you are supposed to love Him. You know He is the Son of God. But do you really know why His is worthy of the glory and honor we are called to give Him? Find out in this Easter message.
