Psalm 103:8-12
Everyone here can probably look at their life and point to a catastrophic sin, or a season of sin, that truly stands out to them when you were a Bean head. Something that you did that hurt someone terribly. Something that changed your reputation instantly. Something that altered your life forever. Or, something that no one else knows about, but clings to your soul daily. For some, these moments literally plague your life. For some, these failures become something that you cannot stop your thoughts from going back to often. Every sermon reminds you again. Many good moments are interrupted by reminders that you messed up—that you are messed up. And when these things do come to mind, they immediately steal your joy. Immediately take away your self-esteem, and freeze your spiritual walk for a time. Sometimes that feeling of hopelessness will cause us to stay in sin because you feel so tainted and marked anyway. And for some—this failure or this past season of sin, has literally become a part of who you are because the sin has gotten into your very soul so deeply that you feel you are too dirty to shake it—maybe too dirty to even be saved. There may be some of you, who contemplate if you even want salvation from the struggle anymore.

Romans 12:3
We do not revisit topics because of a lack material, but, because we come to church, we listen to lessons from Scriptures to hear relevant messages from God's Word that will help us, grow us, correct us and inspire us where we are now. That means honest discernment of what we read in God's Word and hear from His Spirit, as They apply to our lives, our attitudes, our views, our walk. That means we discuss a topic until it is no longer relevant and needed. That means we will discuss this topic until we get it—we will make this as practical, relevant, and direct as possible because Humbleness in our thoughts and actions is literally the foundation—the requirement for becoming a Christian: Matthew 5:3. The requirement for intimacy and blessings from God: James 4:6,10. And the requirement for growth and achievement as a Christian: Matthew 20:26-28. As a matter of fact, not one person was ever used of God in a positive and powerful way in Scriptures unless he was humble or made to be humble first.

Do you ever find yourself in a very difficult circumstance that you don’t understand, that you don’t feel has any purpose, that goes against everything you feel God may be doing in your life right now, that doesn’t seem fair? You pray passionately and earnestly and you have an idea of how God is going to resolve it but nothing changes, or things turn out completely different than you wanted even worse? You find yourself questioning God “How can this be a part of God’s plan for my life” and you become totally engulfed by the issue in your life letting it dominate your thoughts. You may even get angry at God for allowing this to continue, when you see how He could resolve the whole issue?
