Prayer, for some of us the idea of it is confusing and the thought of doing it "out loud" is downright frightening. What constitutes a "good" prayer? What should prayer look like? What should we prayer about? What should we not be praying about? Those are just a few questions that pop up when you mention prayer. Today Pastor Doss takes a look at some misconceptions about what prayer is, and isn't. We take a look at the model prayer and go through it verse by verse to discover the answers to many questions. We invite you to listen at the link below or click "The Seed" to read the sermon synopsis and see if you can improve your own prayer life.
We each have a story to tell, a special, unique story that is ours alone. All of our stories, though, have a common theme, a character that longs to be the central theme - God. Today Pastor Doss asks us to take a moment and examine our stories to see if the cover reflects the actual story line. You see, when we accepted Christ's gift we in effect made Him the main character of our story, choosing to step back and let Him lead. The question is, are your actions reflecting that decision? Join us as we begin the editing process and examine our stories to determine how we can better align them to the Authors purpose.
The final installment in our series on the validity of Scripture takes a look at the validity of what it says. Evidence has already shown us that we can trust that what we hold in our hands is what was written originally, but can we be sure that what was written was truth? Pastor Doss gives a resounding "YES!" and explains why in today's sermon. Click the button below to listen online, or right click and choose "save" to download and listen later.
