The Seed Blog: God's Greatest Desire...

We all have a lot of distractions!...But, even though we all obviously WANT to be here...It is so easy to be distracted with others in service...So easy to be distracted with thoughts in our heads...So easy to be completely focused on everything...
But why we are really here!
 
In every one of our lives... Everyday...God Wants our focus... Our attention... Our closeness... Our reverence...We’re too busy, distracted, self-focused, uninterested...
Or honestly... Too lacking in desire...To ever stop... And completely, totally be given to HIM!

So... HE WAITS... QUIETLY…Until WE DECIDE to Notice Him! Until we show Him we are ready to let go of everything else...And focus on HIM alone! What would YOU say, is God's Greatest Desire? Many would quickly say, "That all may be saved!"…And that is a true statement...But it is NOT God's Greatest Desire…Because you have to THEN ask the question:
"WHY, does God Want everyone to be saved?"
 
The answer brings us to the Heart of God... His Greatest Desire...And to the sole purpose of your existence! Everything God Created in this Universe...Every wonder in the Heavens we ponder...Every unimaginable form of life around us...Every wonder we take for granted...
Everything He did...In Writing every single Page of this Whole Book...In Coming to Earth as a Human and Suffering WITH us...In Giving His VERY Own Life...Through horrible physical and emotional torment...To make us clean vessels for His Spirit again...Every sin He has ever Paid the Price to make disappear...Every day He Prolongs His Coming... Hating the sin more than us!
 
IT HAS ALL BEEN DONE... TO FINALLY BRING YOU AND I...THE PRICELESS CHOICE... TO PURSUE HIM... JUST AS HE PURSUES US!
 
He won't Force you to come to Him in intimacy!...But... Just like we sometimes do...He Sends us Love Letters...He Sends us Notes & Reminders...He Sends us Gifts to enjoy and think of Him...He Sends us Messages from others...Letting us know He's Crazy about us!
 
Then... He Politely Waits to see IF... WE.. WILL COME AFTER HIM WITH THE SAME PASSION! We get USE to the Notes... The Gifts...Begin to expect them!...Take them for granted!...And yet... Never personally pursue the One Sending them!
 
God's Greatest Desire...Is for us to deeply long for and PURSUE HIM BACK!! Everything else has been done...With THIS GOAL in His Eyes and Heart! We sometimes get so infatuated with living right for Him...Infatuated with our own failures...Infatuated with WHEN HE IS COMING BACK!...That we MISS the most important thing in our whole journey!  KNOWING HIM INTIMATELY!
 
He is Our Bread... We take Him into ourselves for Sustenance!
He is Our Living Water of Life... He quenches our longing!
He is Our Groomsman... Closest relationship!
He is Our Friend... Companion and sharer of burdens!
 
Even Communion is centered around intimately becoming one...By taking in His Body and Blood!
 
Is It Even Possible?
 
Why?  When every Page of Scriptures tells the Story...Of how He Wants a Relationship...
And NOT just a follower...Do we not strive to get closer to God? Here are a few of the main reasons...We don't think it is possible to get closer to Him! We really don't understand how much MORE He Wants!
 
Listen closely to this well known Passage:
 
Genesis 1:27 (NKJV)
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
 
We are the only part of God's Entire Creation...Which Scriptures Declare... "Were made in HIS Image!" In whatever countless other ways that may apply...(Creativity, moral conscience, self-awareness, etc.)
 
There is ONE PRIMARY REASON WHY…God Created us in His Image!...THAT IS SO THAT WE MAY SHARE IN HIS FELLOWSHIP!...So that we might long to pursue... And be pursued!...So we might see worth in others!...So we might desire intimacy and oneness!
 
We are the only creatures ever made…With the privilege & ability...To recognizing His Love and Intimacy...To have a desire and ability to connect with Him as ONE!
 
Do you realize how amazing and powerful that is?!
 
We subconsciously long for this deepest spiritual need...Of acceptance and love to be met! When we do not turn to HIM... For this innate need...Our greatest need UNMET...
Becomes our greatest FEAR!!!...That we are unlovable... Unwanted... Not adored! So we live our lives... Making anything we can find MEET that need! When it temporarily does...
THAT... Becomes our god!
 
This is why many literally LIVE...For the acceptance and worth they can find...From their mate...From their parents... Children...From their peers...From social media...From attention through accomplishments and success.
 
All of these avenues are good in their place...But you have to realize...This inner most desire for intimacy and acceptance...This inner most desire to pursue and be pursued...IS THE GREATEST PART…OF BEING CREATED IN HIS IMAGE!...AND WILL NEVER... BE SATISFIED BY ANYTHING ELSE...BUT INTIMACY WITH THE ONE...WHO PLACED THIS LONGING IN OUR SOULS!
 
We must GRASP... In reality... Just how deeply GOD HIMSELF...Wants an intimate, One-on-one Relationship...With US alone!
 
He has placed this longing within us...He has shown Himself to us...He has Proven His Love for us...And now... In order for the relationship to be real and true...He Waits!
  
He Waits for us…To show our own overwhelming passion for Him! For us…To show our
relentless PURSUIT of His Love in return! THIS is why we will only have as much of God...
As we truly want to experience!

Who is more Powerful than anything in existence...Waits for little, insignificant you and I...To spend Intimate time with HIM!...HE Has placed a heart and spirit within you...
Unlike any other part of His Creation!
 
DON'T LET THIS WORLD KEEP YOU FROM HIM ANY LONGER!
 
I DON'T FEEL WORTHY TO BE INTIMATE WITH HIM!
 
If you are like me... And a vast portion of the Christian world...The number one reason for NOT drawing closer to God...Is that you FEEL UNWORTHY! When you feel like you haven't measured up...And that He will be distant and displeased anyway...YOU ARE THE ONE WHO PULLS AWAY! YOU... ARE THE ONE WHO KEEPS A WEDGE DRIVEN! So Satan loves for you to feel this way! Hopeless and alone!
 
Yes... SIN WILL KEEP YOU FROM GOD! BUT... You MUST get this! God Knows we are sinful, fallen people! THAT is why He went to such extremes...To make us clean and worthy to be with Him again! That is even MORE REASON…To WANT to meet with Him Intimately! To thank and praise Him for how much He Loves you!...To Glory in His Faithfulness...Over your sin!
To know that it is ALL HIM...And NOTHING you did merits your presence with Him!
 
David... IN all of his sins... Realized...Allowing him to be closer to God than anyone...Even after he failed!...Get the power of this Psalm...And live it in faith!
 
Psalm 38:2-4, 9-11, 14-14 (HCSB)
2  For Your arrows have sunk into me, and Your hand has pressed down on me. 3  There is no health in my body because of Your indignation; there is no strength in my bones because of my sin. 4  For my sins have flooded over my head; they are a burden too heavy for me to bear.

WHEN NO ONE ELSE WILL STILL BE THERE...GOD ALONE... SAYS HE... WILL ALWAYS BE BY YOUR SIDE!
 
IF… YOU TRULY WANT HIM! IF YOU ARE SO DESIRING OF HIM...THAT YOU HAVE TURNED FROM YOUR SINS!
 
Life Gets In The Way!
 
Many of us... Just feel too overwhelmed…With life, busyness, and troubles...To be able to make time to be with God! We mean well... But there is nothing left. This means HE is NOT what you seek above all in life! Meaning you don't see Who He truly is...You don't love Him as He Loves you! So you are definitely NOT… "Seeking Him with all your heart!”
 
This is exactly what Satan wants you to feel...Distracted and busy... Overwhelmed by life!
It would be comical if it were not so common...That in our most needy and troubled times...
We feel we have the least time...For the One Who can Help us most!
 
God WANTS to be a part of EVERY MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE...NOT JUST…YOUR CELEBRATIONS AND MOMENTS OF GREAT FAITH! He Wants to ESPECIALLY be there with you…IN the moments of...Struggle... Pain... Doubt... Fear... Frustration... Hopelessness!
 
HE WANTS YOU FOCUSED ON HIM...HIS FAITHFULNESS...HIS LOVE...HIS POWER...
TO SEE YOU THROUGH THEM!

In our hardest, darkest moments is when He Wants us to meet with Him more than ever!
So that even in the very presence of the evil around us...He can make us know we are wanted and treasured! He can make us see that we are so Loved...That He doesn't want us to leave His Presence! He wants us to see... That even when we pass through the valley of "Baca"...Or weeping and sorrow...That HE can make it a source of strength and blessing!
We have to GO to Him Intimately, ABOVE ALL THINGS...Trust and long for HIM ALONE!
 
How To Pursue God!
 
Do you really WANT to experience…A new level of Intimacy with God? It is NOT a question of "If you can?"…But a question of "How badly do you want Him?!" He has an answer for HOW to draw close!
 
Realize you were made in His Image...With His Desires to love and be loved...Solely to have a relationship with Him! Realize His Greatest Desire... His End Game for this entire Creation...
And His Sacrifice...Is to be close to you... NOW!
 
Realize He has done all He can to make a clear path to Him...And NOW... He Leaves it to you... To show how close you want to be to Him!
 
Psalm 63:1-2 (HCSB)
1 God, You are my God; I eagerly seek You. I thirst for You; my body faints for You in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water. 2  So I gaze on You in the sanctuary to see Your strength and Your glory.
 
Realize that no failure or sin can keep you from Him! Because He Knew you were a sinner already...And He Paid the Highest Price possible to make you Clean...HE... Will be the Last Person kept away by your failures! IF... YOU PURSUE HIM WITH YOUR LIFE AND HEART!
 
If you CHOOSE to live in sin against Him...Choose to want the world more than Him...
It is the only thing that could keep you from Him!

Realize that there is no struggle, pain, or time constraint...That should ever keep us from Our Best Friend...And Greatest Helper! Realize that your Christian Walk is a shadow... A facade...A waste!
 
If you are NOT pursuing the Intimacy that HE Died to Win!...And you are NOT fulfilling the ONE THING...You were LITERALLY CREATED TO FULFILL!...If you seek Him with all you have...
If you want His Intimacy and Closeness more than life...Your sins will take care of themselves! Your need to love others will take care of itself! Your desire to do His Work and be in His Plans...Will take care of itself
 
Take hold of the Greatest Privilege…You have ever been granted...Through His Very Blood! Make drawing closer to Him...Your biggest goal in life!
